Restoring the Compaq Presario 5000

Welcome to my new website! I've finally finished styling it to look like the internet I grew up with.

Today I am working on a Compaq Presario 5000. It has that beautiful translucent front panel that screams "Y2K aesthetics". The HDD was dead, so I replaced it with a Compact Flash adapter.

I'm attempting to install Windows 98 SE on it, but the drivers for the onboard audio are proving difficult to find. If anyone has the original recovery ISO, please email me!

Preserving Old MIDI Soundfonts

I managed to rip the ROM samples from an old Yamaha keyboard yesterday. The warmth of these low-bitrate samples is something modern VSTs just can't replicate authentically.
